πŸŽ†Your New Moon Intention-setting Ritual Inside

Hi there Reader,

First, let me say Happy 4th of July!! πŸŽ† I know it's not quite the 4th, but let the celebrations begin, am I right?!?

Anyway, I know that holidays usually mean connecting, doing all the things, and big energy, but I want to invite you to also pay attention to both your inner guidance as well as the natural world's rhythms around you this week. Just because calendar holidays tell us that we need to be putting ourselves out there and feeling the FOMO, doesn't mean you have to buy into it.

This week we also have a new moon gracing us on Friday, which is a reminder to go inward and rest. As the moon wanes and turns to a new moon, it's a visible reminder that we need to take time to do the same. And the energy that we may feel during this time in one of being pulled inward.

You may want to be alone or do solo projects.

You may feel a bit more tired.

You may be really able to focus on things like number and finances.

Or you may have heightened intuitive insights.

When you can slow down enough to Find Your Rhythm (that's the 1st phase in my F.L.O.W. framework, btwπŸ˜‰), which might be different than what the calendar says, then you can begin to Listen to Your Inner Guidance (that's the 2nd phase) and realize that what your inner self is needing may be different than what the outside world is telling you to do.

And it's absolutely, πŸ’―% OK to listen to the cues within and around you instead of what's on the calendar. In fact, I'd say it's the foundation for knowing what action to take and when in life, which is what can make your life existentially more effortless.

And my guess is, you want more of that in your life.

One of the best ways to start to connect with your own rhythm and listen to your inner guidance is to begin with setting intentions. It's a simple step and doesn't have to take much time, but it gives you direction so that you can stay focused on what's more important during a set period of time (day, week, month, etc.).

So to help you get started with this, I'm sending along my Intention-setting worksheet that you can use over the course of the next cycle to begin to listen to your inner guidance and use it to Own Your Thoughts and Actions (step 3πŸ˜‰).

Here's the worksheet:

And if you want some guidance on using it, I talk about it a bit more here.

Now if you're inner guidance or internal compass is actually at a different phase of you personal cycle, i.e. if you're at the peak of your cycle, then you may just want to assess where you're at and set intentions for the rest of your cycle knowing it will be a shorter amount of time. But, if you pay attention to the moon and use her energy as guidance to know what action to take and when, then perhaps take a little more time this week to set intentions.

Trust me, when you take this essential action step, it makes life a whole lot easier. It gives you direction to keep coming back to so you don't get lost in the shuffle of summer life.

Cheers,

Cathy

Reader, when it comes to finding peace within, we can sometimes get distracted with the wrong things.πŸ™ƒ At the end of the day no matter how much decluttering, space clearing, cleaning, organizing, and laundry you do, you're likely still not going to have inner peace unless you do a little bit more. And by doing a little bit more, I don't mean another load of laundry, or tidying up, or physically pulling the weeds that are growing in your garden. I mean, metaphorically pulling the weeds that...

I know, life has you running all over the place picking up and depositing kids, watching their practices or events, then finding yourself exhausted and feeling unfulfilled because in the race of the day it feels like you're only doing things for other people, even though you did get a quick workout in earlier in the day. That workout was probably "great" and even made you feel invigorated and ready to go for the day. But I'm wondering, Reader, if you paused at all in the day and connected...

Hey Reader, I shared this recently on Facebook and thought it might benefit you as well. Come along with me on a journey as I share my story of growth in my marriage with you... β€œHe does his thing and I do mine; we share responsibility with taking care of the kids and making sure they get where they need to be, but we're pretty much just ships passing in the night. He doesn't even ask how my day was when he gets home; sometimes I wonder if we even have anything but our kids in common...
