You might be focusing on the wrong thing

Reader, when it comes to finding peace within, we can sometimes get distracted with the wrong things.πŸ™ƒ

At the end of the day no matter how much decluttering, space clearing, cleaning, organizing, and laundry you do, you're likely still not going to have inner peace unless you do a little bit more.

And by doing a little bit more, I don't mean another load of laundry, or tidying up, or physically pulling the weeds that are growing in your garden.

I mean, metaphorically pulling the weeds that are in your garden.

You can do all the busy work in the world, but you're still not going to get amazing results when it comes to cultivating inner peace and your true health, harmony, and happiness in life.

Those results come when you truly have a desire for change to happen in your life, and you step into doing the more challenging work of inward reflection.

Of getting uncomfortable with white space on your calendar.

Then exploring what really is the thing that's holding you back from your inner peace.

πŸ’₯News flash... it's more than just an untidy home or office.

Are there times when it's energetically in alignment to clean, clear things out, and organize?

Absolutely.

But when those actions become the fallback to avoid really doing the work to cultivate inner peace, that's when you might be focusing on the wrong thing.

Clearing and tidying for the sake of organizing our energy in order to cultivate greater focus and clarity is absolutely a great start on the path of doing the inner work.

But when this becomes the way of avoiding the more challenging work that really needs to be done, it will ultimately act as the distraction that keeps you stuck in the cycle of "doing" instead of healing the parts of you that the world needs most.

Keeping you from doing the REAL impactful work you were put here to do.

So that phrase "outer order, inner calm"? It's not really speaking the whole truth to you. (But it sure makes you feel better in the moment, doesn't it?)

Helping you cultivate deep inner peace while still honoring your fiery spirit is my zone of genius. And it's what I do with clients in one-on-one Body, Breath and Life Coaching sessions.

I know, life has you running all over the place picking up and depositing kids, watching their practices or events, then finding yourself exhausted and feeling unfulfilled because in the race of the day it feels like you're only doing things for other people, even though you did get a quick workout in earlier in the day. That workout was probably "great" and even made you feel invigorated and ready to go for the day. But I'm wondering, Reader, if you paused at all in the day and connected...

Hey Reader, I shared this recently on Facebook and thought it might benefit you as well. Come along with me on a journey as I share my story of growth in my marriage with you... β€œHe does his thing and I do mine; we share responsibility with taking care of the kids and making sure they get where they need to be, but we're pretty much just ships passing in the night. He doesn't even ask how my day was when he gets home; sometimes I wonder if we even have anything but our kids in common...

Reader, when I first started practicing yoga, I needed something that matched the energy of my brain and the intensity of my energy...mostly moving about, but with short pauses to hold. It served me for years until I realized there were times when it was actually creating more intensity in my life rather than calming my nervous system and my subtle energetic layers. I started practicing a type of yoga I created that I Energetic Rhythms Yoga based around the 4 phases of nature and the...
